Hawa Nantanda
Hawa is 11 years old and born to Hood Muyomba and Julia Nassuna. She comes from a large extended family of around 20 siblings comprised of aunties, a grand mother and cousins.
She is currently in her primary three, studying at Cornerstone Community School, which is a few miles away from her home. In such an extended family setting, Hawa alongside her siblings have found it difficult to sufficiently get daily meals and stay in school consistently, they occasionally skip a meal or two.
More to that, some of her cousins don’t attend school and this has left a bit of imbalance within the family.
However much Hawa comes from a Muslim background, she enjoys reading the Bible during our Saturday fellowships and slowly by slowly she is learning about the love of Christ. She told one of our volunteers she would love to get a bible of her own. Hawa enjoys teaching and wants to become a teacher so that she can support those who cannot afford education.
