Faith is 22years old. She lives in Gaba with her elder brother and her little sister. Due to financials she didn’t join university because her brother wouldn’t afford to support her through it since he lost his job in the pandemic.
This draw her towards job seeking and given the pandemic, jobs just didn’t come by easy to a person without experience and exceptional education credentials. Through job seeking a friend encouraged her to join the liquid soap class which opened her eyes to the bigger picture of self employment. Acquiring the skill of making soap opened her eyes to countless possibilities as she set out to start her own liquid soap making business.
Acquiring the skill of soap making opened her eyes to countless possibilities as she set out to start her own liquid soap making business.
She started by convincing her neighbours that she had the best soap and that they should buy from her which they did and then moved to supplying soap to small business like hair saloons.
With time she has seen her business grow and from it she saves money help her join university and also at times uses the proceeds to pay rent and contribute to home necessities.
Once she thought she wouldn’t be able to go to school but now she has a new hope, she sees a light at the end of the tunnel, thanks to liquid soap making.
