Takia is a single mother of 6 children. Before she started out in liquid soap making, life was hard, challenging and every day the same thought ran through her head “shall I find something for me and my children to eat”. She moved door to door to find people to wash clothes for so that they can pay her something small just to get her through the day
But after was introduced to the liquid soap class, and was promised raw material at completion, she saw this opportunity as a life saver and a road to sustainability.
After completion of the class she set out and started making soap not everything went on smoothly but with consistence and hard work she was able to break through. She now makes and sells about 40 litres of liquid soap per week now four months down the road.
